Objective:The inhibition and induction of apoptos of salvia and its main components of Danshensu and tanshinone IIA miltiorrhiza on endometrial carcinoma KLE cell were investigated. Our experiment is designed to develop a new drug which is wished to have the feature of inhibiting tumor, smaller noxious and adverse reaction. It is likely to discover a new chemiotherapy to treat endometrial carcinoma.Methods:Each experimental group KLE cells was detected by neutral red assay (OD), and each cell inhibitory rate is calculated by pathognostic equation. Applications of flow cytometry is used to detect cell apoptosis and cycle of change.Results:(1) Compared with the negative group and the cisplatin group, In the Danshen group (concentrations of>0.25mg/ml) KLE cell growth inhibition and apoptosis rate is increased, the cell cycle G0-G1phase ratio is also increased, these changes were statistically significant (P<0.05). Various effects as a function of time and concentration increased gradually with the increasing trend;(2) Compared with negative group comparison, Danshensu group KLE cell cell growth inhibition and apoptosis rate is increased markedly. The G0-G1phase is also increased, and all the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Compared with the cisplatin group, In the Danshensu group (concentrations of>80u g/ml), KLE cells appeared the same changes.This experiment found that the relationship between cell inhibition rate and drug action in the Danshensu group (concentration>80u g/ml) is direct proportion, less than this concentration,the conclusion is contradictory;(3) The tanshinone II A group (>100g/ml) KLE cell growth inhibition and apoptosis rate is increased markedly.In this concentration the G0-G1phase is also increased. ALL the effects as a function of time and concentration increased gradually with the increasing trend.Conclusions:(1) Salvia miltiorrhiza can significantly inhibit the proliferation of KLE cells, promote their apoptosis, alter their cycle;(2) The main active composition of Danshensu and tanshinone IIA are worked on KLE cells.The cells inhibition ratio, apoptosis ratio and cell cycle can be changed markedly.
