Clinical Observation On Therapeutic Effect Of Warm Needling Combined With Encircling Acupuncture For The Treatment Of Knee Osteoarthritis

ObjectiveKnee Osteoarthritis as a high incidence of chronic diseases, causing great pain to the elderly, modern medical treatment of the disease cannot achieve the desired effect in patients, and use acupuncture to cure knee osteoarthritis can have a significant effect, especially in remission patients with soreness and improve joint function in patients with good effect. And the clinical use of a combination of various methods of acupuncture treatment of this disease has achieved good results. Therefore, with the purpose this study utilize the methods of clinical observation, compare the therapy of warm needling combined with encircling acupuncture with simple warm needling surrounded efficacy of the treatment of osteoarthritis of the knee, Evaluate the clinical efficacy of warm needling combined with encircling acupuncture therapy in the treatment of this disease. And study the operability, effectiveness, safety and precautions of clinical considerations of this therapy in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis, thus seeking a new and effective method of comprehensive treatment of acupuncture for the treatment of osteoarthritis of the knee.Methods60cases of knee arthritis patients was collected from Guangzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, acupuncture clinic and ward visits which met the inclusion criteria. Those patients were randomly divided into two groups, namely, the group of warm needling combined with encircling acupuncture therapy (treatment group), the group of simple warm needling (control group). Each group consist of30cases of sufferers.Two groups were selected points along meridians and acupoints are local election, and also based on the principles of dialectical point selection. By using Neixiyan, Waixiyan, Heding, Xuehai, Liang Qiu, Yanglingquan, Zusanli, Ashi points (local tenderness obvious place) as the main points; syndrome select acupoints. The control group using only warm needling, that is the main point and Ashi center with warm acupuncture needles. The rest points just follow the routine ways; treatment group in addition to using acupuncture outside warm needling, while Ashi surrounded with thorns.For the treatment of once every other day, A course that contains10times,3days rest between the two courses. After two treatments, gather the statistical data, using SPSS17.0statistical software by comparing two groups of patients before and after the overall symptom integration and Visual Analog Scale to determine the overall treatment effect in both2groups.Results1. The two groups in the total symptom score and VAS scores before and after comparison of their own, after the test, the difference was significant (P<0.05), Whether warm needling combined with encircling acupuncture therapy or simply warm needling therapy in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis both have a significant effect.2. As a result of validity check, Cases were compared between the two groups after the treatment of the symptoms of the total points, P<0.05, By comparison of VAS scores after the treatment, P<0.05, There are great differences in treatment effect between the2therapy, indicating that the treatment group were better than the control group in alleviating symptom score and reducing pain.3. Efficacy analysis of two groups, the treatment group:7cases (23%) were Clinical Controlled,15cases (50%) were significantly effective,8cases (27%) were resultful,0cases (0%)was invalid, the total efficiency is100%, control group:3cases (10%) were cured,10cases (33%) were significantly effective, resultful in14cases (10%),3cases (10%) was invalid, the total efficiency is90%. Treatment group can significantly improve the treatment of knee osteoarthritis’efficient. ConelusionThe comprehensive therapy of warm needling combined with encircling acupuncture for curing knee osteoarthritis has achieved better efficacy than simple warm needling, confining that encircling needling play an important role in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis, The combination of warm needling and encircling acupuncture therapy can significantly improve the knee osteoarthritis efficient. Warm needling combined with encircling acupuncture use for clinical treatment of knee osteoarthritis made a new attempt, with clinical use value, worthy of further promotion.
