Clinical Research On Treatment Of Qi Deficiency And Blood Stasis Pattern Of Ulcerative Colitis With Treatment Of Tonifying Qi And Activating Blood

Object: In this project, patients with ulcerative colitis(UC) of qi deficiency and bloodstasis pattern were selected to be treated to clarify the mechanism of tonifying qi andactivating blood and to evaluate its efficacy,expecting to provide rationale forChinese meteria medica treatment in ulcerative colitis.Methods: With the principles of randomized and positive control,60cases ofUlcerative Colitis (UC) patients were divided into treatment group and control group.The treatment group were treated with oral administration of Yiqihuoxue Decoction(including Dangshen30g,Huangqi30g, Kushen6g, Jiaobaizhu15g, Chaoshanyao45g,Fuling10g, Quandanggui10g, Chishao12g, Sanqi3g administered after dissolved,Cuyuanhu10g, Wulingzhi6g, Danshen12g, Jiaoshanzha12g, Ruxiang10g, Moyao10g, Wuyao10g, Zhigancao6g). This prescription was subdivided into two equalparts and decocted respectively. The total amount was400ml. Intake: twice a day inthe morning and night, each time200ml. The control group were treated with oraladministration of salicylazosulfapyridine(SASP). In activity stage: twice a day,2.0geach time. In resting stage: twice a day,1.0g each day. The two groups were observedwith a course of15ds for four courses.Results: Global efficacy of tonifying qi and activating blood in treating UC of qideficiency and blood stasis pattern was93.33%,and the control group was66.67%.Incomparison,treatment group was more significant than control group(P<0.05) inglobal efficacy.Compared to control group, therapeutic method of tonifying qi andactivating blood was more effective in such aspects as syndromes of traditionalChinese Medicine、endoscopes and pathologies、coagulant mechanisms、recurrencesfor ulcerative colitis(UC) patients of qi deficiency and blood stasis pattern(P<0.05).And it is significant in improving such symptoms as diarrhea、abdominal pain、rectal tenesmus、 bloating、 anorexia、 lethargy、 stabbing pain in chest andhypochondria(P<0.05),while it shows no statical significance in the improvement ofmucous stool and pus bloody stool（P>0.05）.Conclusion: Yiqi Huoxue Decoction with principle of tonifying qi and activatinblood achieved satisfactory clinical efficacy in treating UC.Yiqi Huoxue Decoctionused in treatment group was more effective than SASP used in control group. Therelevant mechanism included are as follows: regulating immune functions; improvingimmunity condition of the whole cells; improving microcirculation of intestinalmucosa; improvement of hypercoagulability; repairing intestinal mucosa barrier andeffect of anti-inflammation and inhibiting bacteria.
