ObjectiveThrough the evaluation of a construction crane manufacturer project existingoccupational hazards and the degree of harm, to determine occupational hazardscritical control points, propose effective occupational hazards control measures. Inorder to guide the risk management for enterprise, meanwhile, provide a scientificbasis for the prevention and control of occupational hazards in similar enterprises.MethodsAccording to the national law and standards, engineering analysis and field testwere applied to identify the sorts and production links in the process of the project. The detection and inspection was used to measure the concentration or intensity ofoccupational hazards. And the quantitative classification and risk assessment methodswere also carried out to determine the critical control points.Results1.The major occupational hazards were the structure unit of welding fumes, manganese dioxide and noise, the assembly unit of noise, and the painting unit ofnoise, benzene series and other organic solvents.2.Field test results showed that xylene qualified rate was89.5%, manganesedioxide qualified rate was57.1%, welding fumes qualified rate was54.5%, other dustqualified rate was92.3%, ultraviolet qualified rate was83.3%, noise qualified ratewas75.0%, and the rest of occupational hazards qualified rate were100%.3.The occupational hazards risk level Ⅰ were11﹟painting job posts’ xyleneexposure, frame welding, box external welding, positioning welding and practicewelding job posts’ welding fumes exposure,8﹟sanding job posts’ other dustexposure, as well as welding and assembly job posts’ noise exposure. Risk level Ⅱwere frame welding, box external welding, positioning welding and practice welding job posts’ manganese dioxide exposure, gantry linear welding and rotary welding jobposts’ welding fumes exposure, as well as sanding, painting and soot blowing jobposts’ noise exposure. And risk level Ⅲ were gantry linear welding and rotarywelding job posts’ manganese dioxide exposure.Conclusions1.The main occupational hazards are manganese dioxide, welding fumes andnoise, next are benzene series and other organic solvents.2.The occupational hazards critical control points are manganese dioxideexposure job posts (gantry linear welding, rotary welding, frame welding, boxexternal welding, positioning welding and practice welding), welding fumes exposurejob posts (gantry linear welding and rotary welding), and noise exposure job posts(sanding, painting, soot blowing).
