Objective:To investigate the relationship between left ventricular diastolic function and the hemodynamics of carotid artery in Patients with hypertension of different age groups.Methods:608cases of essential hypertension divided into three groups by age: Young-aged, middle-aged and elderly group. Measure the E, A of the diastolic mitral flow and the hemodynamics of carotid artery with Doppler echocardiography. Results: Compared with the three age group of the essential hypertension:when E/A>l,some of the parameter of hemodynamics such as PSV、PI、RI were depressed along with the age growth in both CCA and VA; when E/A<1,with the age growth,PSV were depressed in both CCA and VA,and ESV also does in CCA. PI and RI were rised in both CCA and VA.Compared with the groups between E/A>1and E/A<1, EDV were depressed and the PI and RI were rised in the elder-aged group of the three groups of the carotid artery. Conclusion:When the left ventricular diastolic function were decreased,Vascular compliance were decrease and the resistance of blood flow rised along with the age growth.
