Incarvillea beresowskii Batalin, belonged to Incarvillea Jenus,Bignoniaceae family, is mainly distributed in the northwestern of Sichuanprovince and Tibet, growing at3000-4200meters along the mountains. At present, the chemical constituents and biological activities of I.beresowskii have not been reported, in view of Incarvillea rich chemicalcomposition and biological activity, the subject of the I. beresowskii of thechemical constituents of system atic research, aims to use some method toseparate and purify the chemical constituents found some clear, itsbiological activity lead compounds, provides the chemical composition forthe rational development and the basis of I. beresowskii.Stems and twigs of I. beresowskiirri were isolated and purified usingchromatographic methods (Sephadex LH-20, column Chromatography ofsilica gel, MCI gel, preparative TLC and preparative HPLC) to yield31compounds. Their structures were identified by spectroscopic methods (ESI-MS,1H-NMR,13C-NMR, DEPT and2D-NMR ect.).31compoundsisolated from I. beresowskii were identified as phenylpropanoids andlignans (IB-5IB-14), alkaloids (IB-1IB-4), flavonoid glycoside (IB-15),phenols (IB-16IB-18), triterpenes and sterides (IB-19IB-24), iridoids(IB-25IB-27), and other compands (IB-28IB-31). Among the35compounds, IB-1was a new alkaloid, IB-10was a new lignan, IB-18wasa new phenol, other compounds were isolated from this plant for the firsttime. The total extract showed a weak anti-analgesia effect in vivo (hotplate test in mice) and the dichloromethane fraction showed a weakanti-analgesia effect in vivo (formalin test in mice).Compounds IB-6, IB-16, IB-23showed a weak anti-inflammatoryeffect in vitro (LPS-induced RAW264.7NO Production), other compoundsdidn’t showed anti-inflammatory activity.
