Objective To study the value of pro-gastrin-releasing peptide in diagnosis, treatment and officacy monitoring and diagnosis of SCLC recurrence of patients with small cell lung cancer. Methods Serum level of Pro GRP was measured by ELISA and NSE was measured by radioimmunoassay in 88 cases of SCLC, 84 cases of NSCLC,50 patients with benign lung disease and 40 healthy group. Serum level of Pro GRP was measured by ELISA in 64 cases of SCLC who were treated by drug between May 2011 and May 2013. Its sensitivity, specificity and the therapeutic effects was observed. SPSS17.0 software package was applied to process statistically. Results The sensitivity of Pro GRP to diagnosis SCLC is 70.45% and specificity is 92.85%.The sensitivity of NSE to the diagnosis SCLC is 64.77% and specificity is 82.14%. The sensitivity and specificity of is combined detection of the two tumor markers are 86.36% and 60.71%. There is a significant difference between patients with SCLC and NSCLC(P﹤0.05). The average Pro GRP and NSE level in the extensive stage of SCLC patients is significantly higher than in the limited stage of SCLC patients with statistical difference(P﹤0.05). The serum of Pro GRP goes off from 383.63±289.54 pg/ml to 85.32±156.57pg/ml in resolving stage and 124.34±271.35pg/ml to 92.56±123.56 pg/ml in no change stage;goes up from145.65±231.53pg/ml to 607.25±297.68pg/ml in advanced stage. Conclusions Pro GRP is a SCLC tumor marker with high sensitivity and specificity。It has a close relationship with SCLC stage and can be used as a predicator of SCLC to chemotherapy response。...
