| Objective:To collect the epidemiological material and observe the distribution of Type A behavior Pattern(TABP)between Psoriasis vulgaris patients with normal people. The features of the distributions of TCM syndrome types and behavior pattern in patients with psoriasis vulgaris were analysed. A correlation between TABP and Psoriasis vulgaris (PV) and its TCM syndrome types was explored to provide a theory for a new preventing and treating method of PV combined psychological intervention with Intergrative Medicine.Method:A questionnaire which included age, gender, body symptoms, tongue and pulse datas was formed by referring to the clinical manifestations in patients with PV and relevant authority documents and books. The patients with PV were differentiated into the corresponding TCM syndrome types. All of the participants carefully filled in the TABP questionnaire which is compiled by Boyuan Zhang. PASI scores are used to assess the subjects’lesion severity. The study contained 60 cases of patients with PV and 80 normal control people. The survey datum were inputted into SPSS17.0 and were analysed by it.Result:(1) The comparision of age, gender, literacy level etc. had no statistically significant difference between the case group and control group, the chi —square (P)> 0.05. The maximum age of onset among the case group was 61, the minimum is 15, the average age is 34.88, Twenty seven people(45%) found their primary lesions on the head. Eight people has a family heredity. Average PASI scores were 11.59±6.58, PASI scores and TABP took on positive liner correlation,r(correlation coefficient) is equal to 0.34, P <0.05.(2) The TCM syndrome types in case group were in following order:blood heat syndrome (27/60 cases,45%), blood stasis syndrome (21/60 cases,35%), blood dryness (12/60 cases,20%). In normal control group,24 cases of type A behavior, accounted for 30%, while in the case group there was 31 cases, accounted for 51.7%.The difference between them is statistically significant. There was no statistically significant difference in two groups in type A behavior, M-type behavior, B-type behavior, distribution of mA and mB behavior differences in two groups have statistical significance.(3) The average scores of TH, CH, TH+CH were compared in the two groups. By using T test, TH (P<0.05) and TH+CH (P<0.05) scores have significant difference, CH score have no significant difference (P>0.05).(4) A two score regression analysis was performed on these datum, type A behavior is the cause of psoriasis vulgaris (OR=2.494, P=0.009<0.05). According to Chi-square, although the distribution of type A behavior among the three TCM syndromes is different, it has no statistically difference(X2=1.133, P=0.312>0.05)Conclusion:Among these three basic TCM, blood heat is in the majority, blood stasis syndrome followed. Patients with psoriasis vulgaris are more likely to have Type A behavior than normal person. The integral scores of TABP in psoriasis patients with type A are higher than the normal control group. But only TH and TH+CH scores have statistically significant difference. The regression analysis of type A behavior and psoriasis vulgaris demonstrate that type A behavior is one of the risk factors of psoriasis vulgaris. It indicated that behavior guidance to patients to improve their behavior characters can be implemented. Distribution of Type A behavior in various psoriasis vulgaris TCM syndromes are different, but it has no statistically significant difference. It shows that there is no significant correlation between Type A behavior and psoriasis vulgaris TCM syndromes. |
