Inflammatory reaction is the primary Pathological link that the plague changes from stability to vulnerability. Based on the results of previous experiments and small sample clinical trials, activating blood circulation and detoxicating medicine (ABCD) can inhabit the inflammatory reaction and stabilize the atherosclerotic plague. Subsequently, academician keji-Chen put forward With the TCM theory "stasis toxin" for coronary heart disease on the basis of clinical practice and carried out a small sample clinical observation to prove its certain curative effect. However, due to the small sample size, the result need to be further affirmed. This study further expands the sample size to confirm the anti-inflammatory reaction of ABCD for unstable angina patient systematically using open randomized controlled study.1 ObjectivesOn a background of standard treatment, to investigate the effects of activating blood circulation and detoxicating patent medicine (ABCD) on inflammatory reaction in patients with unstable angina (UA).2 MethodsWe enrolled 120 confirmed UA patients in six clinical research centers and the patients were randomly assigned in a 1:1 ratio to the activating blood circulation and detoxicating (ABCD) group and the activating blood circulation (ABC) group. The ABC group received the Guanxindanshen Drop pills (ten grain.three times one day. one month) in addition to standard medication; while the ABCD group was treated with Guanxindanshen Drop Pills and Andrographis tablet(two pills. three times one day. one month)based on the standard medication. The serum concentrations of the hs-CRP、TNF-a、 IL-6、TM、sCD40L of UA patients before and after one month treatment were determined. Moreover, the sores of angina pectoris、blood stasis syndrome and TCM symptom were also examined.3 ResultsAfter one month treatment, a significant reduction in the inflammatory biomarkers (The above examined) from baseline was observed in both groups, but the ABCD group demonstrated a significantly greater reduction than ABC group (P< 0.05); Moreover, treatment with ABCD group with also demonstrated superior performance in comparison to the ABC group with respect to blood stasis syndrome scores、angina pectoris scores and TCM symptoms scores.4 ConclusionsOn the background of standard treatment, Combination of Guanxindanshen Drop pills and Andrographis tablet not only improve the angina and blood stasis symptoms, but also further reduced the serum levels of hs-CRP、TNF-a、IL-6、TM、sCD40L of UA patients. Taking together, our data suggest that ABCD herbs have a better anti-inflammation effect for UA patients.
