Purpose:Aimed at verifing differences of metabolic profiles of peptic ulcer in Qi deficiency and Blood stasis syndrome, Damp-Heat syndrome and Qi stagnation syndrome, looking for metabolite composition differences in three syndromes of peptic ulcer, to further explore the three syndromes’ differences in endoscopy, histological changes, changes in metabolomics, and biochemical indicators in order to consummate the standards of syndrome differentiation, to better guide clinical practice. Methods:Collected 90 peptic ulcer cases from outpatients or hospitalized patients of Suzhou City Chinese Medicine Hospital, Divided into three groups, Qi deficiency and Blood stasis syndrome, Damp-Heat syndrome and Qi stagnation syndrome, each group has 30 cases. Collecte patients’ blood samples, gastroscopy pathology data, metabolomics and biochemical indicators. And then analyze the data.Result:Male patients were more than women in peptic ulcer patients, DU more than GU, but the average age of DU is less than GU. Male patients were more than women in damp-heat syndrome group, but more women in Qi stagnation group. Ulcer active phase were more common in the empirical syndrome; Ulcer healing and scarring stages were more common in the deficiency syndrome. The rate of HP was highest in damp-heat syndrome group. The frequency and age distribution showed no significant difference in DU, GU, CU. The TBIL, DBIL, IBIL of Qi stagnation syndrome showed difference with other two groups, Three groups and normal control group showed differences in metabolic profiles; There are significant differences between the empirical and deficiency syndrome also. Damp-Heat syndrome and Qi stagnation syndrome has differences but also has same commons. Conclusion:The distribution of peptic ulcer in line with epidemiological characteristics. Three syndromes has differences in sex, ulcer stage, HP infection rate, and biochemical indicators. Verify that three groups has differences with normal control group in metabolic profiles. There are significant differences between the empirical and deficiency syndrome. There are differences between pathological state and physiological state in metabolic profiles. The differences consistent with the theory of Chinese medicine. The differences of Qi deficiency and Blood stasis syndrome, Damp-Heat syndrome and Qi stagnation syndrome may have material basis. Provide an objective basis for TCM Nature study.
