Objective:To explore levels of serum MMP-12,-9,-2 in patients of heart failure and analyses the relationship between the serum level of MMP-12,-9,-2 and the serum level of BNP, the New York Heart Association (NYHA) functional classification,left ventricular function parameters.Methods:All patients were admitted in the first affiliated hospital of Kunming Medical University from April 2014 and December 2014. There were 20 patients diagnosed with Heart Failure inducing by Coronary Heart Disease,16 patients diagnosed with Heart Failure inducing by Dilated Cardiomyopathy,25 patients without heart failure as the normal negative group,12 patients diagnosed with Rheumatic Heart Disease without heart failure as the control group. With the use of two-dimensional color Doppler echocardiography calculated the left ventricular function parameters (LVEDD, LVESV, LVEDV, LVEF, LVFS) in each patient. With the use of Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) detected the level of serum MMP-12,-9,-2 in each patient. Then, with the statistics analysis analyses the correlation between levels of serum MMP-12,-9,-2 and the level of serum BNP in chronic heart failure patients, NYHA heart function classification, left ventricular function parameters.Results:With the use of ELISA, we found that the serum level of MMP-12 in CHD heart failure group were higher than DCM heart failure group, RHD without heart failure group and normal negative group, and the difference had statistical significance (P<0.05).The serum level of MMP-12 in the group of heart failure inducing by DCM were higher than the normal negative group, the difference also had statistical significance (P<0.05). Comparing the group of DCM accompanying with heart failure to the other groups, the result showed that the serum level of MMP-12 had not statistical significance (P>0.05). We also fond that the serum level of MMP -9 in the heart failure inducing by CHD group, RHD group, DCM and RHD without heart failure group were higher than the normal negative group, the difference between groups had statistical significance (P<0.05). The comparison between the group of RHD without heart failure, RHD with heart failure group, DCM with heart failure group, CHD with heart failure group, the serum level of MMP-9 had no statistical significance (P>0.05). With the method of Correlation Analysis, we found the serum level of MMP-12 in the group of DCM with heart failure and CHD with heart failure group had a positive correlation with the concentration of Brain Natriuretic Peptide(BNP) (r=0.5, P=0.5), but a negative correlation with the level of the LVEF and LVFS (r= 0.416,0.431; P=0.012,0.009).The serum level of MMP-9 in the chronic heart failure patient had a positive correlation with the concentration of BNP,LVEDD,LVEDV,LVESV(r=0.584,0.440,0.495,0.465; P<0.05),but had a negative correlation with the level of LVEF and LVFS. However, the serum level of MMP-2 didn’t show a positive express in chronic heart failure patients. With the method of FRET, The comparison between the heart failure group of RHD, normal negative group, the heart failure group of DCM, the heart failure group of CHD, the activity about MMP-12 had no statistical significance (P>0.05).Conclusion:The serum level of MMP-12 in the heart failure group inducing by CHD is obvious higher than the serum level in the DCM group, RHD without heart failure and normal negative group. The serum level of MMP-12 in the heart failure group of DCM is obvious higher than the normal negative group. With the method of Correlation Analysis,the serum level of MMP-12 in the heart failure group of DCM and the heart failure group of CHD has a positive correlation with the concentration of BNP (r= 0.5, P= 0.5), but had a negative correlation with the level of LVEF and LVFS (r= 0.416,0.431; P= 0.012,0.009).The innovation of the research is described as follows:With the method of ELISA detected the serum level of MMP-12, we found that the serum level of MMP-12 in the heart failure group of CHD had a obvious higher than the heart failure group of DCM, RHD without heart failure and normal negative group. The serum level of MMP-12 in the heart failure group of DCM and the heart failure group of CHD had a positive correlation with the concentration of BNP, but had a negative correlation with the level of LVEF and LVFS.
