Objective: To evaluate the value of virtual touch tissue quantication(VTQ) in the diagnosis of benign and malignant prostate diseases. Methods : A total of 64 patients with prostate ultrasound examination and ultrasound guided prostate puncture were collected between September 2014 to January 2015 in Wannan Medical College hospital in Yijish.Examinations were performed, including abdominal ultrasound, transrectal ultrasonography(TRUS),virtual touch tissue quantification(VTQ) and nuclear magnetic resonance(MRI). Taking pathological result as a golden standard, receiver operating characteristic curve was plotted analyzing the diagnostic value of virtual tiuch tissue quantication. These different methods in the diagnosis value of prostate disease were evaluated taking pathological result as a golden standard.Results:(1)The pathological results of the 64 patients were as follows: 35 benign, 29 malignant.(2)The average of VTQ in prostate cancer nodules is(2.65±0.96)m/s;the average of VTQ in prostatic hyperplasia nodules is(1.88±0.87) m/s.The average of VTQ in nodules of prostate cancer is significantly higher than that of benign prostatic hyperplasia nodules, the difference had statistical significances(P<0.05).(3)When the VTQ value cut off point is 2.20m/s, VTQ diagnosis of benign and malignant disease showed the diagnostic sensitivity, specificity, accuracy was respectively 82.75%, 85.71%, 84.37%.(4)MRI diagnosis of benign and malignant disease showed the diagnostic sensitivity, specificity, accuracy was respectively 86.2%, 65.7%, 75%. MRI had higher sensitivity in diagnosis of benign and malignant prostate disease which was 86.2%, but the difference compared with VTQ and TRUS had no significant difference(P>0.05),the difference compared with abdominal ultrasound had significant difference.(5) VTQ had obvious specificity of benignand malignant prostate lesions, obviously higher than the abdominal ultrasound 、MRI and TRUS, the differences had statistical significances(P<0.05).Conclusion:VTQ technique which can quantify the tissue hardness information, had high specificity in diagnosis of benign and malignant prostatic disease. It can be used as an important supplementary means to provide help in clinic for diagnosis of prostatic disease.
