| Objective: To evaluate the clinical efficacy of Ointment for Tonifying Kidney and Enforcing Essence on post-operative patients of infertility with varicocele by observing their semen quality change after using the ointment.Methods: 126 post-operative male patients of infertility caused by varicocele were randomly allocated into the treatment group and the control group. The patients of the treatment group accepted subsequent Traditional Chinese Medicine treatment with Ointment for Tonifying Kidney and Enforcing Essence after varicocele surgery; while the patients of the control group didn’t have any other treatment after varicocele surgery. The semen quality of the patients in both groups were checked and compared after three months and six months.Results: The semen quality improvement of the treatment group was significantly better than that of the control group. The pregnancy rate of the treatment group was significantly higher than that of the control group.Conclusion: The Traditional Chinese Medicine product, Ointment for Tonifying Kidney and Enforcing Essence can remarkably improve sperm concentration, enforce sperm motility, and increase pregnancy rate in patient of infertility caused by varicocele after surgery. |
