Clinical Observation Of Compound Xiaoyin-ointment In The Treatment Of Mild Or Moderate Psoriasis Vulgaris

Background:Psoriasis is one of the common intractable diseases of dermatology.The incidence of this disease is different around the world because of geographic and racial differences, of which China’s incidence rate is 0.123%. Some researches showed that the incidence in male was slightly higher than in women, but there was no significant difference. As the disease easily repeated and longer course, or even permanently, some patients need long-term treatment, which severely reduce the quality of patient’s life. Long-term oral treatment with certain drugs and some physical therapy methods, may bring patients some side effects and economic burden. So many experts advocate for mild-to-moderate patients with psoriasis vulgaris only use topical medications. Currently western medicine topical formulations main include glucocorticoid, retinoic acid cream, vitamin D3 derivatives, calcineurin inhibitor, keratoplastics and medical moisturizer and so on, most of these drugs work quickly and curative effect, but the long-term use of certain drugs may bring some side effects. In addition, some drugs are expensive, leading to poor patient compliance. The advantage of Chinese medicine treatment of psoriasis have less side effects, high security and low cost, but there are shortcomings of action slowly. According to the above problem, developed a kind of topical formulation of Chinese and Western medicine—compound xiaoyin-ointment, is expected to benefit for the majority of patients with psoriasis.Objective:To observe the clinical effect and safety of compound xiaoyin-ointment in the treatment of mild-to-moderate patients with Psoriasis Vulgaris.Method:Taking random grouping method,92 cases who meet the criteria for the mild-to-moderate patients with psoriasis vulgaris were randomly divided into compound xiaoyin-ointment group (referred to as compound group), clobetasol propionate cream group (referred to as hormone group), xiaoyin-ointment group(referred to as Chinese traditional medicine group). Three groups were given compound xiaoyin-ointment, clobetasol propionate, xiaoyin-ointment for external * use, adequate twice a day. Before treatment and after treatment 1 week,2 weeks,4 weeks, and 8 weeks, respectively assess lesions of patients and PASI scores, finally compare the three clinical effect index, incidence of adverse reactions. The data was statistically analyzed.Result:1. Three groups of patients before treatment in general information, such as age, gender, duration and PASI scores, there was no significant difference (P> 0.05).2. PASI score at different points of the multiple comparisons, and the difference was statistically significant at the 2nd week (P＜0.001), three drugs began to work after treatment for 2 weeks.3. PASI score of multiple comparison between different drugs,the treatment of mild-to-moderate with psoriasis vulgaris between compound xiaoyin-ointment and clobetasol propionate was no difference (P>0.05)。 The two drugs were compared with xiaoyin-ointment, was statistically significant (P<0.05),illustrate compound xiaoyin-ointment and clobetasol propionate work fairly, but are better than xiaoyin-ointment o4.At the end of the treatment,there was a significant difference between the efficacy of the three groups (P＜0.001), the effect of compound xiaoyin-ointment and clobetasol propionate is fairly in treating mild to moderate Psoriasis Vulgaris, are superior to xiaoyin-ointment 。Conclusion:1. Effect of compound xiaoyin-ointment, clobetasol propionate cream and xiaoyin-ointment in the treatment of mild-to-moderate Psoriasis Vulgari was significantly.2. Compound xiaoyin-ointment, clobetasol propionate cream and xiaoyin-ointment all began to work at the second week.3. The working speed of compound xiaoyin-ointment and clobetasol propionate in the treatment of mild to moderate Psoriasis Vulgaris is fairly, and are better than xiaoyin-ointment4. Effect of compound xiaoyin-ointment and clobetasol propionate cream was fairly, were superior to xiaoyin-ointment.5. Compound xiaoyin-ointment was safe in the treatment of psoriasis, no obvious side effects.
