Objective: Retrospective study by arthroscopy and traditional open reduction and internal fixation to treat SchatzkerI- type IV patients with fracture of tibial plateau of intraoperative and postoperative outcomes. Methods: From jan 2012 to feb 2014 Schatzker Ⅰ-Ⅳ, a total of 61 patients with tibial plateau fractures.Divided into arthroscopic surgery group and traditional open reduction and internal fixation surgery group, surgery were followed up for 12 to 24 months(1.26±0.38)years; Comparison of incision length, operative time, hospitalization days. Rasmussen imaging scoring system, long-term follow-up of patients with knee joint Rasmussen function score, quality of life in patients with postoperative SF- 36 scale and postoperative knee satisfaction to VAS score, evaluation of postoperative knee function. Results:Two groups of patients with the type and consolidation of the gender, age, bone injury differences of no statistical significance(P < 0.05). But the ARIF group Incision length(6.27±1.16)cm, operation time(83.47± 19.15)min, the bleeding(65.23±8.12)ml and the radiological follow-up rating was 83.21%, postoperative patients with 1 year follow-up function score was 90.12%, postoperative follow-up of patients with knee joint satisfaction, 36- F knee functional score is better than ORIF group. Conclusion: Arthroscopic treatment of tibial plateau fractures, small trauma, fewer complications, and postoperative function recovery of knee joint clear advantage, can detect intra-articular soft tissue injury, early treatment.
