Objective To determine the Kunlun Chrysanthemum infusions toxicity grading and possible harmful effects of dose, the target organ and nature of the hazard by acute oral toxicity test and rat oral gavage 30 days feeding study, according those to determine the dose and the observations for further sub-chronic toxicity test preliminary experiments. Methods Acute oral toxicity test: Refer to the acute oral toxicity test method of " The technical specifications of health food inspection and evaluation "(2003 edition), using the acute oral toxicity test method of maximum tolerated dose, giving the dose of 20 m L / kg.BW(dry matter content equivalent the concentration of test substance 1g / m L), recording poisoning sign and death status.30 days feeding test: refer to the 30-day feeding test of " The technical specifications of health food inspection and evaluation "(2003 edition), the control group were water, the test substance dosage groups respectively were 3.8,7.5,15.0 m L / kg.BW.ResultsAcute oral toxicity test: Acute oral toxicity test: the MTD were greater than 20 m L / kg.BW in male and female mice acute oral toxicity test. According to acute toxicity grading standards of " The technical specifications of health food inspection and evaluation "(2003 edition), Kunlun Chrysanthemum were no actual poison.30 days feeding test: Kunlun Chrysanthemum followed dosage of 3.8,7.5,15.0 m L / kg.BW, rats were given gavage for 30 days, the animals does not appear poor feeding phenomenon during feeding, having the normal animal activity and growth status, clothing hair were thick and shiny. Each dose of female and male, at each time point weight, food intake, food utilization and total weight gain, total consumption, total food utilization compared with the control group, the difference was not statistically significant(P> 0.05).1.1 Related indicators of influence situation in rats of Kunlun Chrysanthemum1.1.1 From the test on food intake in rats, body weight, food utilization aspects: each dose groups showed no significant difference with the control group(P> 0.05); total weight gain, total consumption, total food utilization compared with control group, and no statistically significant difference(P> 0.05)1.1.2 From the effects of organ coefficient analysis in rats on test: the main organs and absolute weight, dirty body ratio of the each dose group compared with the control group, the difference was not statistically significant(P> 0.05).1.1.3 From the effects on liver and kidney function and blood biochemical parameters in rats tested aspects: rat blood biochemical indicators of each dose group compared with the control group, the difference was not statistically significant(P> 0.05).1.1.4 From the results of the main organs and pathology analyzes in rats on test: each dose groups compared with control group: showed no pathological changes associated with the sample.ConclusionKunlun Chrysanthemum were actual non-toxic(female, male mice acute oral toxicity test MTD were greater than 20 m L / kg.BW); Kunlun Chrysanthemum followed with 3.8,7.5,15 m L / kg.BW dose(equivalent dry matter 3.8,7.5,15 g / kg.BW in giving test) indicators that feeding rats continuously for 30 days had no affect on the test, during the experiment the growth of rats were well in each dose group.
