This thesis consists of three chapters. The chemical constituents from Gleditsia genus as well as their bioactivity from 2006 to 2015 were summarized in the first charpter. The second chapter study on the chemical constituents of the seeds of Caesalpinia spinosa Kuntze. The third chapter research the chemical constituents of the stems of Caesalpinia cucullata Roxb.Through modern chromatography and spectral technology, 34 compounds were isolated and identified from the previous plants. Among them, one compound was new natural product. The identified compounds include sesquiterpenoids, triterpenes, steroids flavonoids and other constituents.Chemical constituents and their pharmacological activity from the plants of Gleditsia genus reported in recent year were summarized in the first charpter. The second chapter presented the study on the chemical constituents of C. spinosa Kuntze. C. spinosa, which is commonly known as Tara, is a small Leguminous tree or thomy shrub native to Peru. It is cultivated as a source of tannins. It has been introduced and cultivated in the drier parts of Yunnan Province. Twenty compounds were obtained from the ethyl acetate extract of the seeds of Tara(C. spinosa Kuntze). Their structures were elucidated to be:(+)-spathulenol(1), 10α-hydroxycadin-4-en-15-al(2), 4(15)-eudesmene-1β,6α-diol(3), oplopanone(4), 1β,12-epoxy-8α(S),9α(R)-dihydroxycaryophyllene(5), cycloeucalenol(6), lupeol(7), ursolic acid(8), β-amyrin(9), bonducellin(10), β-sitosterol(11), 5,6α-epoxy-5α-stigmastan-3β-ol(12), sitoindoside I(13), daucosterol(14), β-sitosteryl linoleate(15), ethyl linoleate(16), 1-linoleoylglycerol(17), 2-(2-hydroxyl methylphenyl)-ethanol(18), gallic acid(19), ethyl gallate(20). Compound 18 was new natural compound. Compounds 1-2, 5-9, 12, 13, and 15-18 were isolated from Caesalpinia spinosa Kuntze for the first time. The third chapter presented the study on the chemical constituents of C. cucullata Roxb. C. cucullata Roxb is commonly known as Ma yao, which distributed in southern district of Yunnan Province. Fourteen compounds were obtained from the ethyl acetate extract of the stems of C.cucullata Roxb. Their structures were elucidated to be: lupeol(1), ursolic acid(2), naringenin(3), 5-hydroxy-7,3’,4’,5’-tetramethoxy-flavone(4), isoliquiritigenin 4-methyl ether(5), stigmast-5-ene-3β-yl formate(6), β-sitosterol(7), daucosterol(8), trilinolein(9), n-lignoceric acid(10), trans-resveratro1(11), 2,4-dihydroxy-3,6-dimethylbenzoate(12), gallic acid(13), ethyl gallate(14). All the compounds were isolated from Caesalpinia cucullata Roxb for the first time.
