Research On Chinese Films With The Theme Of The Legal System In The New Century (2000-2010)

Based on the application of research method in combining the art and iconology, this dissertation analyzes the indicting characteristic and value of the domestic films with the theme of the legal system under the cultural context of "pictorial turn" from2000to2010. This dissertation discusses how these films turn the rational juristic language into the perceptual images, and become the media of spreading the juristic information, affecting people’s minds, and producing the recognition to the law. The biggest change of these films focuses on the people under the circumstance of the legal system rather than legal event or case itself. Specifically, in terms of the content, the film is to evoke the viewers’aesthetic sensibility through the moral description, to enhance the audiences’ recognition on the legal sense such as equality, justice, and order. And in terms of the format, the film with perceptual images is to show inside and social activities of people in the surrounding of a modern legal system, and further to probe the relations between the people and the legal society, which are behind these images. This research is to promote the healthy and prosperous development of the Chinese film with the theme of the legal system.
