With the improvement of China’s national strength and international status, Chineselanguage learning is more and more popular now. Not to mention that the Confucius Instituteblossom everywhere overseas, in the country, the mysterious eastern land is attracting anavalanche of foreigners. The spread of Chinese language is facing an unprecedentedopportunity. No matter traditional teaching or emerging teaching has made considerableprogress. Compare with traditional teaching, the one-to-one Chinese language teaching is inits infancy, with a strong vitality and also many problems.This article will explore the initial stage of one-to-one teaching of Chinese as a foreignlanguage. The article will introduce the research background, status, purpose and significanceof the one-to-one Chinese language teaching, and the origin, current status, characteristics andstatus of one-to-one Chinese language teaching as well. The research will focus on how tofully mobilize the enthusiasm of the beginners who can master as much as possible survivalChinese within a very short time and relaxed atmosphere though the discussion of students,teachers, teaching. At last it will sum up the problems of the initial stage of one-to-oneteaching of Chinese as a Foreign Language and try to find solutions.
