Survey And Analysis Of Hebei University Abroad Students Calligraphy Teaching Status

The art of calligraphy, as one of Chinese traditional Culture and Chinese spirit, is thecrystallization and symbol of thousands of years of our culture. The profound and uniquecultural connotation makes the art of calligraphy as the essence of traditional culture. Themost people all around world love the art of calligraphy, many of them are overseas studentsin China. But there are few calligraphy course setting for overseas students in universities.Hebei University is the only key comprehensive university of Hebei province. It has a longhistory of receiving overseas students and more focus on teaching of the art of calligraphy.The object of this paper included: the overseas students of HBU, the calligraphy teacherfor overseas students, the staff of the office of International Cooperation Department, thecommunity leaders of SANYU Calligraphy of HBU and the relevant people. And the paperwill analyze, the situation of calligraphy teaching for overseas students in HBU, the learningmotivation of calligraphy, the problem the overseas students met, the factor of affecting thecalligraphy teaching and the influence of learning calligraphy, which through the method ofquestionnaire, interview survey, data statistics, logical analysis, literature study and so on. Atthe last, the paper will summarize the study above and give some suggestion on that. Hope thepaper providing a little bit of valuable reference of the teaching of calligraphy for the overseasstudents in HBU, and promoting the spreading of traditional Chinese culture by strengtheningthe foreign teaching of the art of calligraphy.
