The study analyzes the Vowel-ending finals in Hequ dialect vowel system from synchronic aspects by the field investigation. On the basis Qie-yun (《切韵》), the paper also analyzes its evolution from the diachronic aspect.Hequ dialect is affected by the influence of northern Mandarin and "Jin" dialect(晋语). It not only retains the characteristics of Medieval phonology, but also contains the alternative characteristics of it. On the whole, the Hequ dialect has its own features and follows the development of "Jin" dialect. The author first describes the development from the Medieval to Hequ dialect and then mainly analyzes some special phenomenon in each part. This paper is divided into five parts. The first part introduces the purpose and significance of the subject as well as the present situation of Hequ dialect. The second part is "Guo-she"(果摄)and "Jia-she"(假摄),and mainly analyzes the evolution of Kai-he-kou(开合口)and main vowels. Then the author also discusses confluence of "Guo-she"(果摄)and "Jia-she"(假摄),and discovers some traces of medieval in them. The third part concerns the evolution of "Yu-she"(遇摄), which has a close relationship with "Liu-she"(流摄).This part discusses the development of "Yu-she"(遇摄)and the confluence of "Yu-she"(遇摄)and "Liu-she"(流摄).we discover the combined rules of "Yu-she"(遇摄)and "Liu-she"(流摄)in Hequ dialect are the same to the "Jin" dialect. The fourth part concerns "Xie-she"(蟹摄)and "Zhi-she"(止摄).They contain more vowels, but to some extent, there are also combined phenomena, which show in Heqe dialect that the amount of vowels is large, but on the whole, the development is more or less close to the northern Mandarin. The fifth part is "Xiao-she"(效摄)and "Liu-she"(流摄), which is more complicated to discuss."Xiao-she"(效摄)is different from the development of "jin" dialect, so Hequ dialect does not follow the development of "Xiao-she"(效摄)official dialect. It follows its own way of development. According to comparison and analysis of "Xiao-she"(效摄)and "Liu-she"(流摄),we find they are in the process of continuous changing and developing. The sixth part is conclusion, from macroscopical on the summary of the phonetic changes in the way. Merger is the mainstream trend, convenient and concise communication is the result of combined factors.
