This paper tries to investigate the evolution of the Chinese yinsheng finals from the ancient times to Beijing dialect. The material is derived from the experts reconstruction of Chinese phonology and Xi’an, Lanzhou, Yinchuan, Bijie, Shaoxing, Changsha dialect.The article contrasted "Guangyun" with part of the south and the north dialect.The paper has classified the type of change in main vowel. Meanwhile, it’s also take monophthong and compound vowels categorized as main vowel type of change.Some conclusions of this paper are:Chinese yinsheng finals from ancient to modern Beijing accent change rules mainly has four:firstly, the main vowel towards high; Secondly, the main vowel towards low; Thirdly the main vowel towards ahead, it contained the back main vowel towards ahead and the dorsal vowel towards the tip of the tongue. In addition, some main vowel less change.From ancient to medieval finals, The change of yinsheng vowels trends are mainly towards low. However, the main vowels towards high and less changes phenomenon is also exist, but it takes up small proportion. From the medieval finals to Yuan Dynasty, the change of yinsheng vowels has mainly towards high, with this phenomenon, some dorsal vowel have taken place in the tip of the tongue. Besides, the main vowel change less phenomenon is also common and a small part of main vowels towards low. From Yuan Dynasty to modern Beijing, the yinsheng main vowel has largely unchanged, this phenomenon has confirmed Beijing sound system has basically formed in the period of "Zhongyuan phonology".In this paper, through the comparison of different material, confirming that the yinsheng finals main vowel towards high is the main developing trend of Chinese finals.
