In our daily life, people often make a judgment about individual psychological characteristics. From the view of model psychology, it is not reliable for the facial evaluation in intuition (or so called "first impression"), but it is prevalent as a phenomenon of visual perception deviation, and the social perception bias will affect the future of interpersonal trust. Applying the methods such as interview method, questionnaire measurement method, experimental method, and principal component analysis with the combination of the face software (Facegen Modeller), the study attempts to reveal potential psychological characteristics and some core facial features on this characteristics.The results showed that there are10dimensions when Chinese people assess the face. According to their rate from high to low, they are as follow:constancy, stability, credibility, boldness, intelligence, ascendance, independence, agreeableness, apprehension, privations. And constancy and apprehension are the main two prejudicial features on the evaluation of faces.Subjects assess the male faces generated by compute software on the constancy and apprehension dimensions. Correlation and regression analysis conclude:First, On the apprehension dimension, there are4facial features to be good predictors, which are respectively mouth-wide/thin, jaw-wide/thin, cheekbones-shallow/pronounced, face-heavy/light. Second On the perseverance dimension, there are5facial features to be good predictors, which are respectively mouth-wide/thin, cheekbones-shallow/pronounced, mouth-happy/sad, jaw-wide/thin, face-heavy/light;, Third, It also can be concluded that when assessing the face on the perseverance and apprehension dimensions, mouth-wide/thin draws the attention first, next are cheekbones, jaw and complexion.The results show that the core features on subjective prejudice of facial assessment are different from those of foreign people. The reasons behind may be as follows:the subjects’ professions, ages and cultural backgrounds.
