In the present study, we used a sample of239employees from9provinces in aChinese context.,and Structure equations modeling (SEM) were used to explore therelations among transformational leadership, psychological empowerment, personalinitiative and climate for initiative. The following measures were mainly using thetheory of transformational leadership and personal initiative as the research base toexplored the relations among transformation leadership and employees’ personalinitiative,and the mechanism of transformational leadership on employees’ personalinitiative.That is, whether transformational leadership affect employees’ personalinitiative through the psychological empowerment; in addition, we use the climate forinitiative as an environmental support variable to examine the relationship between itand employees’ personal initiative, and its role in the relationship betweenpsychological empowerment and employees’ personal initiative.The results showed that:(1)Transformational leadership have a significantpositive forecast on employees’ personal initiative. And, there is a significant positivecorrelation between two dimensions of transformational leadership (moral and vision)and employees’ personal initiative.(2)There is a significant positive correlationbetween transformational leadership and psychological empowerment.(3)Psychological empowerment play an intermediary role in the relationship betweentransformational leadership and employees’ personal initiative.(4)There is asignificant positive correlation between the climate for initiative and employees’personal initiative.(5) The climate for initiative not only play a regulatory role in therelationship between psychological empowerment and employees’ personal initiative,but also play" intermediary regulatory effect" by psychological empowerment topersonal initiative.
