A Report On Business Negotiation Interpreting In Nanjing Wolan Technology Co., Ltd

This report is based on the author’s business interpreting experience at Nanjing Wolan Technology Co., Ltd. Itincludes six parts: task description, preparation before interpreting, interpretation process, interpreting case study,difficulties in the interpreting, and service feedback and the summary of the interpreting practice.The first part makes a brief introduction to the interpreting task. The author worked as an interpreter in abusiness negotiation at Nanjing Wolan Technology Co., Ltd. In the second part, the preparation before interpretingis described in detail. The third part is interpretation process description, which describes the whole interpretingactivity from the reception at the airport, factory visit and the banquet. In the fourth part, the author analyzes theapplication of the interpretive theory of translation in interpreting practice. The fifth part discusses the difficultiesencountered during the process of the task, such as cross-cultural communication, listening comprehensionobstacles and psychological quality. Then the author puts forward coping strategies in each situation. The last partis service feedback and the summary of the interpreting practice. Service feedback includes feedback from theforeign customers and client. In the summary of the interpreting practice, the author summarizes the method ofbasic skill accumulation and some coping tactics in consecutive interpreting.The practical experience is an essential part of learning interpretation, and the interpreter should accumulateexperience continually to improve the interpreting ability.
