In September,2013, the author worked as the interpreter in Qingcheng ancient town and providedconsecutive interpreting for experts from the World Bank Group, who came to inspect the cultural andnatural heritage protection project in Gansu province. The consecutive interpreting in Qingcheng ancienttown is one subproject under the protection and development project of the cultural and natural heritage inGansu province which is supported by the World Bank Group. This paper will focus on the analysis of theconsecutive interpreting for the expert, Geoffery, and provide a detailed picture of the interpretation task,hoping to be a great help for the further study of interpretation.The paper can be mainly divided into seven parts:1) Introduction, which gives a brief introduction ofthe background of the task;2) Description of the Task not only tells the requirement of the client but alsoreveals some features of the interpreting task;3) Preparations for the Task talks about the preparation of thetask;4) Interpretation Process talks about the completion of the task and the problems encountered during it;5) Quality Control and Evaluation is about the quality control and the evaluation, which tells the qualitycontrol standards of the interpreting task and the implementation of the quality control;6) Specific Analysisof the Case chooses some samples of the task to analyze;7) Conclusion tells the experience and feelings gainedthrough the task.
