A Practice Report On Consecutive Interpreting For Internet Of Things Conference(Tianjin)in 2016

In this interpreting practice report,I mainly describe the interpreting task during Internet of Things Conference(Tianjin)for TeliaSonera delegation.As an interpreter,I know that my mission is to help translate and communicate,negotiating between operators go effectively and smoothly during this conference.In my report,consecutive interpreting for TeliaSonera officials would be a case study to analyze particularly,which comprises preparation for interpretation,description of interpretation process,and the translation theories applied in interpretation and the conclusion after interpretation.Consecutive interpreting is a professional translation service,which requires an interpreter both to serve clients well and demonstrate his or her translation skills.There are four chapters in this practice report.Chapter One is an introduction of the interpretation task,including background,task characteristics,introduction and requirements from the client.Chapter Two focuses on description of interpretation process,which contains preparation for interpretation,description of interpretation process and assessment after interpretation.Chapter Three discusses the case study and adaptation theories applied in interpretation.Chapter Four is a report conclusion,which includes unsolved problems exposed during interpretation and self-reflection after interpretation and expectations in the future studies and works.
