Practice Report On The Interpretation Of Mo Yan’s Speech At Swedish Academy

In this report, the author takes “the Speech of Mo Yan at Swedish Academy” as the dataand finishes the interpretation independently. This report consists of five parts, including thetask description, the procedure description, the interpretation preparation, the case analysis aswell as the conclusion. In first two chapters, the author briefly describes the task of theinterpretation and the procedure of interpretation; The interpretation preparation mainlyincludes the research of the speaker and his speech, and the preparation of relativevocabularies and voice recording equipment. The case analysis is the essence of this report,and the author analyzes typical examples with the interpretation strategies, pointing out someproblems which exist in the practice of Chinese to English simultaneous interpretation (SIwith texts); Finally the author makes a summary of the whole interpretation and the existingproblems, gives his own opinions on the improvement of interpretation, and provides theuseful experience for interpreting work.
