Chinese writing is a major task among the five basic tasks in Chinese learning as listening, speaking, reading, writing and translating. It is combination knowledge of words, phrases, sentences, chapters, which can reflect one’s integrated language ability for Chinese learning. However, how to improve writing skills is always being a big challenge for foreign students who are keen on Chinese learning.This essay starts with the connection between language features and natfonal thinking modes in Chinese and English, and examines the difference ofthinking modes between them, analyzing the difference ofthinking modes in language learning. In the essay, it analyzes the difference of thinking modes that has influence on Chinese writing for students from English countries. At the same time, with the help of my own practical teaching experiences and developing writing corpus of HSK, as research material.
