This translation report deals with Chinese Thinking Modes(Chapter Fifteen and Chapter Twenty-two), a social science monograph written by Professor Wu Chun. There are two subjects in Chinese Thinking Modes. As the beginning and the end of the second subject, Chapter Fifteen is correlated with Chapter Twenty-two. Chapter Fifteen, the core chapter of logic thinking section, analyzes and demonstrates the logical thinking problem of China, contrasts the Chinese logical types with those of in Greece and probes into the connotation and origin of Logic. Chapter Twenty-two makes a further analysis of Chinese thinking modes in terms of language system.This report is consisted of six parts. Part One is the introduction, including its background, target and significance. Part Two comes to the text analysis and the applied theories. Part Three introduces difficulties in translation and solutions to them. The difficulties include the translation of cultural-bound words, logical terms and works written in classical Chinese. Part Four presents the inspirations and lessons to the translator and the unsolved questions. Part Five is the references. Part Six is the appendix, namely the source text and the target text.
