Measure words is an important part in modern Chinese because of its large numbers,frequent use, and complex usage,and these features cause measure words teachingbecomes a key difficulty in TCSL. Presently, more and more Lao’s students prefer to learnChinese, it’s no exception that they also suffered many errors during the learning progressabout Chinese measure words. Therefore, ti’s necessary to compare and study thesimilarities and differences between Chinese and Laos so that we can study the types andreasons of the errors caused by Lao’s students, then put forward the correspondingteaching suggestions.The first part of this paper is the introduction on the origin of this article heading,the sense of the article, the scope of the study, methods and previous outcome studies aboutChinese measure words teaching in TCSL, the first chapter begins with the introductionabout their types and features of measure words between Chinese and Laos, then tocompare the similarities and differences of measure words in Chinese and Laos. Thesecond chapter is the analysis for the collected error corpus which used in students’ oralChinese and the survey about Chinese measure words for verb acquisition of Lao students.It is summarized the types of errors and causes of errors. The third chapter is the relatedsuggestions on textbooks, teaching and the Lao’s learners so that can be helpful for theChinese teaching to Laos students. The last part is the conclusion.
