With the rise of cognitive linguistics, people tend to learn languages in cognitive perspectives. The research in cognitive linguistics, second language acquisition and corpus linguistics showed that chunk abounds in natural languages, playing an important role in language acquisition and second language acquisition. Chunks play important roles in the listening, and training exercise is an integral part of the listening teaching. Through specialized exercises for chunks, this article tries to provide information and inspiration for the the micro-skills training and special skills training on listening. This paper is divided into five chapters, the first chapter is to introduce the background, meaning, content and methods; The second chapter is a literature review-about chunks in Chinese teaching, listening comprehension and Chinese listening training; The third chapter introduces the theory of chunks, including the definition, theoretical basis and classification. etc.:The forth chapter based on three listening text books, the chunks and form in which will be the materials in our design. The fifth chapter describes the self-learning concept and task-based didactics, and under the guidance of them, we design the exercises of listening chunks and give examples of them.
