In the age of information explosion, an appropriate corporate profile on the homepage of the company is the most convenient and effective way to present the company’s image to the clients and investors. In the existing researches, the relative researches from the perspective of cognitive linguistics on corporate profiles are rare. The introduction of cognitive analysis is explanatory for the creating process of the establishment of psychological modal. Schema Theory is chosen in this thesis for the reason that according to Schema Theory, the readers’schemata within their language can be regarded as reference of the L2writers or translators to get a clear-cut modal to enable the readers to comprehend the information in the discourse more easily. This thesis conducts a comparative study on schemata of corporate profiles about the Chinese companies and the British and American companies. It is discovered that they have both similarities and differences of schemata in their corporate profiles at three levels:language schemata, cultural schemata and formal schemata. They have similarities of their schemata because they belong to the same textual type with the same topic, and the writers have formed similar physiological representation of corporate profiles. The differences are caused by their different cultural backgrounds, in which people have different thinking patterns and cultural values. The cognitive explanation on the differences of schemata will help the Chinese companies to create their corporate profiles which can be comprehended and recalled more easily by the readers from English speaking countries.
