The Value And Strategy Of Chinese Classical Poetry As A Foreign Language To South Korea Students

The most important thing in language learning is to learn its’pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar and basic knowledge for communication, which isa part of linguistics scholars and educators engaged.However, learning a language, we not only learn its pragmatic knowledge, but alsoshould understand its deeper cultural connotations. Though nowadays’ study of foreignlanguage teaching, research on the culture teaching has achieved good results, butrelated the essence of Chinese traditional culture—classical poetries’ research is stillvery scarce. For the above reasons, the writer took advantage of the internships in SouthKorea, made a preliminary exploration about the value and strategy of Chinese classicalpoetry as a foreign language to South Korea students.From all above, the writer discussed how important of classical poetry in Chinesetraditional culture, how important of classical poetry in teaching Chinese as a foreignlanguage, through the analysis of relevant information and existing research at homeand abroad of foreign teaching classical poetry. Speaking from the importance ofculture teaching, to discuss the value of teach classical poetry to South Korea students,combined with the writer’s teaching experience in South Korea, from the practicalproblems in the teaching process and conditions, put forward seven points about how toprocess the teaching of Chinese classical poetry in South Korea in order to make acontribution for the spread of traditional culture and teaching Chinese classical poetryas foreign language.
