Brief Discussion On Teaching Classical Poetry Of Teaching Chinese As A Foreign Language

The traditional culture of the China is profound and its content is all-encompassing.Classical poetry vividly embodies the basic spirit of Chinese culture,customs and beliefs, attitudes, values,these can be said a treasure, a pearl of the Chinese traditional culture and concentrates to a timeless and the chewing endless essence. Classical poetry with its harmonious rhythm, rich culture, deep thinking,sincere emotion, unparalleled artistic value attracts many Chinese people reading and enjoying,and it also attracts foreigners learning and appreciating.Tang Poetry is the most representative cultural forms,and Song Poetry is the bright signs of “Song Dynasty ”, they are the valuable spiritual wealth which are created by men of letters with wisdom and emotion, well,it is the favor of the foreign language teachers,and becomes the unavailable or lack of teaching materials to foreign language teaching.Dancing in the Tang and Song’s color, amazing the vast classical poetry, let students coming from the other country understand the Chinese culture with a long history,as well as learning the poetry to strengthen the language and culture of learning is necessary.At the same time,leaning them can help students to achieve win-win in the interpenetration of language and culture. The thesis mainly selects Classical poetry of the Tang and Song Dynasties to help students recognize the connotation of China and spread the Chinese culture.Classical poetry is a language form with beautiful, clever structure,rhythm,harmony form and with voice, vocabulary, grammar, rhetoric, emotional aspects,and has the dual nature of language and culture. This paper attempts to discuss what to teach and how to teach and so on. Divided into:the situation of teaching ancient poetry; the value of teaching ancient poetry,including the characteristics of its language, culture,aesthetic value; teaching objects and teaching content; teaching methods. Among them, the teaching methods are the focus of this research.
