"Time adverb+one+classifier+qualified word"is a special structure in modernChinese5the structure expresses an event.The study of this structure is helpful to theresearch of other special structures and knowing the function of time ad verbs.Thispaper analyzes this structure on the basis of the theory of event structure.The contentsare as follows:Chapter one is the preface of the paper,which introduces the purpose,thesignificance of this paper,previous studies?methods,and corpus sources,etc.Chaper two introduces the event theory and puts forward our concept ofevent?furthermore?classifies the event types.On the basis of this theory,we analyze theevent function and event types of "time adverb+one+classiifer+qualiifed word".Chapter three focuses on discussing the components of the structure andanalyzing the type of time adverbs,class!fiers,qualified words.Its event functions andits syntactic functions are different, so this chapter analyses the syntactic function ofthis structure. In addition, we analyse the internal characteristics of this structure.Chapter four analyses the reason and mechanisms of "timeadverb+one+classifier+qualified word"grouped together to express event in theaspect of syntactics, semantics and pragmatics and cognitive language.Chapter five analyzes the textual function of the structure “timeadverb+one+classiifer+qualiifed word’’.This structure can express the textualfunction:expressing a result,an order,a transition,countinuing.This structure aredynamic,so it has foregrounding function. Chapter six is the conclusion of this paper.We sum up the main conclusions andpointed out a direction for further research.
