| In this thesis,we mainly try to describe and analyze the textural function of"hao (好)"."Hao (好)"is used in spoken Chinese and written Chinese with high frequency. It can be an attributive adjective,an auxiliary verb,a connective adverb,a degree adverb,etc. As a part of Chinese syntax,we mainly elaborate its meanings as subject,predicate verb,attributes,objective case,adverbials,complements and in the communications."Hao (好)"has specific function in syntax and semantic developing trails.The predecessors mainly discussed semantic analysis , grammaticalization ,discourse or pragmatic function and in the dimension of syntax. There are few analyses and discussions about the representation of conjunction function and principle in discourse analysis of"hao (好)"in the existing material. This paper tries to describe the course of discourse analysis of"hao (好)"and gives a reasonable explanation of the causes behind it.The essay studies on the discourse function of"hao (好)"in conjunction and pragmatics with related discourse analysis theories, which based on the study of its syntax and semantics. The paper explores the function and situation of"hao (好)"in complex sentences and conversation structure, emphasized on intensive analysis about the textural function of"hao (好)"."Hao (好)"has lots of functions in complex sentences, such as tandem duplication, engagement, enclitics new information and achieve semantic consecution. In the conversation structure"hao (好)"can be used to finish topic,open new theme from up to down, or alternative turn-entries, its connection enter topic or turn-entries."hao (好)"predicts transformation, disparity, which contributes to the propulsion of discourse, bring in new context or other relative topics. The semantic, special function of expression of"hao (好)"decides it's precondition in successive addresser and topics, which achieves the goal of semantic connection.
