From the earliest immigrant writer Maxine Hong Kingston, Amy Tan,to study in the fifties and sixties in America Yu Lihua, Nie Hualing, to newimmigrants on behalf of the eighties and nineties writer Yan Geling, Zhang Ling, theyre-examined the world of women, deeply concerned on human nature, as well as aprofound exposure and reflection conducted by personal life experiences of womenemigrants living conditions, to some extent, has enriched the Chinese female literature,and caused constant attention by scholars at home and abroad.New Immigrant Literature occupies a very important position in the history ofChinese literature in in North America, and it is a indispensable branch of the WorldChinese Literature. Since the eighties and nineties of the last century, for study, work,business and investment, and other purposes, China set off an immigration trends,some of which immigrant writers many emigrated performance of Chinese people’slife chances and mental state literature, these works came to be defined by "NewImmigrant Literature." It is worth mentioning that, in the new immigrant writers,female writers such as Yan Geling, Zhang Ling as the representative are far more thanthe male writers. This phenomenon make we will study the sight more female worldcreated by new immigrant women writers. In this paper, by using the theory offeminism and narrative, the new immigrant literature writer Yan Geling as an example,through the interpretation and analysis of texts carefully, focus on Yan Geling’s novelthe female narrative of comprehensive research.Research mainly launches from the following parts of this thesis female narrativeof Yan Geling’s novels. The first chapter is the introduction part of this thesis, brieflyanalyzes mainly the relation between Yan Geling and overseas Chinese literaturefemale writing, and introduces the present situation and research contents andmethods of this research of the Yan Geling’s novels; the second chapter on theportrayal of women in the novels of Yan Geling from the immigrant women, andmainland women two class classification interpretation; the third chapter focuses onYan Geling’s female narrative themes, from the military, immigration, regression three themes discussed is how the writer show her female consciousness, and how toconvey their views on women; the fourth chapter is in support of the related literarytheory of feminism and narrative, inquiry into the female narrative strategy of YanGeling’s novels, trying to dig out the artistic expression in the works of Yan Geling.The last chapter is the conclusion part, through an overview of the full text, draws thefinal conclusion and view.
