A Practice Report On The Northeast Asian High-tech Fair

This report is about the Northeast Asian High-tech Fair, which the author wants toconclude some interpreting skills with the help of related theories and makesuggestions to the college exhibition interpretation. I will divide it into four parts toexplain my thinking, and those are preparation, content for interpretation,interpretation analysis and project summary. The author participated in the three daysevent as a student. The major theme of the fair is “Innovation, Cooperation,Development, Win-win situation”, especially emphasize the interactive featuresbetween science and technology and economy. The purpose is to promote thetechnology innovation of northeast Asian areas, strengthen the communication ofregions, improve the development of high-tech, create the opportunity of developmentand share the fruits of innovation. The main activities were exhibitions, the discussionforum、trade talks and it also had big events and cultural exchanges. The event has atotal exhibition area of about30000square meters and more than40000exhibitionswere there. During the fair, I toke charge of helping teachers and translating part ofcontent. After this interpretation experience, I had a better understanding ofinterpretation. I do believe a sound preparation of background information,technology and the like before the exhibition and effective training of the interpreter’slanguage knowledge, interpretation skills and mental abilities are of great importance.Although many years has already past, when learning interpretation now I recalleverything and realize that I still have many better understandings.
