Our country is a united multi-ethnic country, the land borders adjoins15countries. There are34nationalities in our country are same with the nationalitiesoutside our country’s border. Due to the nature of Cross-border Nationality lives crossnational border, so it is inextricably linked to geopolitics. How to deal withCross-border Nationality problems, develop reasonable national policies are not onlyrelate to our country’s stability and development, but also relates to the diplomaticrelations with related countries, thus affecting the create of our securityenvironment.Therefore, it is a long time ago that the Cross-border Nationality studiesattracted the attention of academics in China.In many Cross-border Nationality,Korea has a special historical position,because it not only produces traditional geopolitical influence through the Koreanpeninsula, and also promote the politics, economy, diplomacy of related nations in the special historical period. Although the research achievements about Cross-border Nationality, the geopolitical influence of Cross-border Nationality problems are relatively rich, but study the interaction of Cross-border Nationalitywith geopolitics, and take the Korean as cross-border ethnic to study its geopolitical and economic influence are scarce.Therefore, the author selects the Cross-border Ethnic Korean as a case analyze its geopolitical influence specifically.On the whole, the paper consists of five parts. Introduction is the first part, itexpounds the background, the significance, the methods of the reaserch, the basiccontents of this research and the possible innovations.The second part of the paper, the related concepts and theories involved areanalyzed and summarized, this part is the basic theory of the research. Firstly,discriminating the related concept of Cross-border Nationality, thus illustrating thereason of using the Cross-border Nationality. Secondly, summarizing the geopoliticaltheory and its development part.The third part, analysizing the interaction of cross-border ethnic and geopolitics,it consists of four basic contents. One is the analysis of the causes of Cross-borderNationality; Second is the analysis of the types of Cross-border Nationality and theirdifferent geopolitical influence; Third is the analysis of specific geopoliticalenvironment impact on ethnic culture, political aspirations, its economic development; Forth is the analysis of the impact of cross-border ethnic on political security, nationalsovereignty, national political diplomatic, economic and cultural exchanges.The fourth part is produce the geopolitical background of Cross-borderNationality-Korean, that is the reason of the formation of Cross-borderNationality-Korean, this mainly includes two aspects. One is the process of theformation of China’s Korean; One is the process of the formation of the Cross-borderNationality-Korean on Korean penisula.The fifth part is a detailed analysis of the geopolitical influence of Cross-border Nationality-Korean. Taking the Cold War period and Since the end of the Cold War as two main stages. During the cold war, analysiizing the Cross-border Nationality-Korean how to influence the surrounding countrier, includingAmerica, the former Soviet Union, China, Japan. Since the end of the cold war, analysizing the geo-economic, geo-cultural influence of the Cross-border Nationality-Korean.From the above analysis we can see, the Cross-border Nationality-Koreanproduced different geopolitical influence in different historical stages. Especiallysince the end of the Cold war, the Cross-border Nationality-Korean produced positivegeo-economic, geo-cultural influence, they promote the economic cooperation andcultural exchanges between related countries, this positive effect is also worthemphasizing.
