As we all known, fatigue-related driving accidents take a considerable proportion of thenumber of our national traffic accidents. Accordingly,in the administration of road safety, driving fatigue is a very tough one on condition that it isn’t easy to detect like drunk driving. Therefore, finding a proper, accurate way or some standardized index to measure drivingfatigue is of great importance. To figure out the index as well as to explore the feature ofdriving fatigue psychically and psychologically can provide some basic evidence of the futureresearch direction and for a invention of a real-time, convenient detection device of drivingfatigue. Based on the importance of driving fatigue detection, we use the MINDRAY portablemulti parameter monitor, SPCS physiological coherent and self balancing system, the EGI128channel EEG to record taxi drivers blood pressure and oxygen saturation, heart rate variability, and self generated potential and event related potential. By comparing the status of driverbefore and after driving, we analyzed the change of fatigue in details and its relationship withother biological index. The results shows that, if drivers are in fatigue and this continues,(1)their blood pressureand oxygen saturation decreased;(2)the balanced index LF/HF of heart rate variabilityincreased(p<0.05), along with the increased sympathetic nerve activity;(3) the θ wavesincreased and the β waves decreased(p<0.05);(4) the latency of P2in ERP increased(p<0.05),the detection rate of novelty stimuli decreased;(5)LF/HF correlates with both θ wave and βwave and P2latency(p<0.05), the change of fatigue before and after driving are consistent. Therefore, LF/HF, θ wave, β wave and P2latency can predict driving fatigue quickly andaccurately, but the index of blood pressure and oxygen saturation can only be used asauxiliary ones;(6)LF/HF,θ,β and the latency of P2was accurate, sensitive to judge the driverfatigue state, the blood pressure and blood oxygen saturation can be used as auxiliary refers tojudge whether the driver fatigue driving.
