| Since put forward as a concept, competence has been widely researched andapplied. Psychological consultants’ competence characteristics refers to individualpotential, deep features that can distinguish the excellent performers from themediocre person in psychological counseling work and can be reliably measured.Thepresent study was based on the related theory of competence,combined with previousresearch of psychological counselors’competence characteristics, quoted the methodof assessment center innovatively, adopted questionnaire and interviewing methodand built the psychological consultant training system based on competency. Thisstudy focused on exploring the training needs analysis and training methods based oncompetenceResearch one has taken Jiangxi province as an example, through to openinterview of the head of the major psychological consultant training institutions inJiangxi province and questionnaires of students who have training experience, andthen analyzed the data of corresponding statistical, explored the current psychologicalconsultant training status; Research two based on questionnaire of the mental healthservice personnel competence characteristics compiled by Zhang Ailian, combiningBehavioral Event Interview, with the Assessment Center, to build thecompetency-based training system of psychological consultant scientificly, and thentraining15subjects which pass the psychological consultants level3certificate, usingthe empirical research to verify the practicability and effectiveness of the trainingsystem.The main conclusion of the study in the following areas:1. Training StatusStatus of counselors training is most of the training institutions do not have builta complete training system. Training itself, mostly lack of training needs analysis ofstudents; their training methods mainly was concentrative face to face teaching andtheoretical knowledge-based training, lacking of practice, skills training andassessment of the training effectiveness. To the whole training industry, the trainingmarket lacks of standardized currently, and the government and the relevantdepartments of the urgent need to strengthen the norms and rectification of the wholetraining industry.2. Construction of the content of the training systemThe whole psychological consultant training system based on competencyneeds to be carried out through the following several aspects: training needsanalysis,training design,undertaking training and evaluation of training.In the training needs analysis,training needs survey takes the existing psychological consultantcompetencies model as the standard and takes the self-assessment scale ofcompetence characteristics level as a tool.This study innovatively put forward thatresearchers can apply the methods of the developmental evaluation center totraining.This kind of method includes leaderless group discussion,role play,caseanalysis and so on.By these three ways,we hoped to improve counselors’competenceand to ensure that counselors’ professional skills and knowledge accomplishment areon double harvest. |
