Recently, as the rapid development of China’s economy and the speedy uprising of it’s global role,learning Chinese is become more and more popular among the world. In order to promote Chinese moreinternationally, more and more countries have established Confucius Institutes to teaching Chinese andChinese cultural, by doing this can not only enhance people’s understanding of Chinese culture, but alsodevelop friendships with the rest of the world. In addition every year lots of foreigners came to China tostudy Chinese, on one hand, they can experience the Chinese traditional culture, on the other hand, they canalso make friends with locals that can help them learn Chinese better.The ultimate purpose of teachingChinese to foreigners is to cultivate their abilities to communicate with others in Chinese,thus the teachersneed to pay more attention to cultivate the students’ abilities of oral expression. At present there are someproblems exist in the traditional oral Chinese class. This paper puts forward the task-based languageteaching, and analyzes the feasibility of introducing this teaching method into the oral Chinese class,designs an Instructional design for senior Chinese level students, points out some superiorities by applyingtask-based language teaching into oral Chinese class, and comes to the conclusion that by using this methodthe teachers can improve the abilities of these students to communicate in Chinese.The first chapter of this paper mainly expounds the content and significance of this topic, andanalyzes the research methods that used in the article.The second chapter expounds the property, task andpurpose of oral Chinese class,and analyzes the problems in the traditional oral Chinese class by analyzesthe mode, content and the key points of teaching. The third chapter expounds the researches based on thetask-based teaching method both at home and abroad, describes the meaning and characteristics oftask-based language teaching briefly, compares the traditional teaching method with the task-basedteaching method from eight aspects, and analyzes the feasibility of applying the task-based teachingmethod in oral Chinese class. According to current situation of the students in which school the author interned, the fourth chapter concludes that the task-based language teaching can be applied to advancedChinese learners, uses the lesson "I can do whatever I want with my money"as an instructional designexample, and then to evaluate and rethink this design.
