Investigation Of Speaking-english Foreign Students’ Acquisition Of Chinese Correlative

This essay is doing situation investigation research upon the English-speaking students’coordinate and alternative conjunction words acquisition. There are plenty of conjunctionwords which show some certain relation between/among words or sentences. Here, in thisessay, the coordinate and alternative conjunction words are selected to be analyzed, as thesetwo kinds mainly exist in the complex sentences. Meanwhile, the quantity of the associatedobjects in these relations is2or above. It is easily to cause confusions when using them inreal context for English-speaking students. They can be compared, as well as be contrasted.The linguistic data, used in this article, is mainly adopted from the HSK dynamiccomposition corpus, hosted by Professor Cui Xiliang from Peking Language University, andthe overseas students’ written Chinese corpus from Chinese Language&Culture College inJinan University. Besides, those sentences in which the coordinate and alternative conj. wordscan be highly contrasted but easily misunderstood are also selected to be analyzed. It issincerely expected that, through the research of this essay, there will be some contributionmade to the enhancement for the overseas students’ cognition toward the frequency andimportance of these conj. words in practice, moreover, the decrease of errors caused by conj.words during their Chinese learning.The critical research methods in this paper are data statistics and details analysis, whichis based on the corpus related to the students from America, England, Canada, and Australia.It is discovered that the accuracy is greater than the error rate and the coordinate conj. Wordsare more frequently used than alternative conj. Words. Plenty of alternative conj. Words areevaded, and some even are left alone. It is also proven that there are unbalance applicationsamong the coordinate and alternative words respectively; some can be used freely andskillfully, the others are even forgotten. And different countries have their own styles.
