The value problem of epistemology, though not fully recognized in China, is a fresh issue sense in epistemology in recent decade. This dissertation aims to study the value problem and its solutions systematically. I reconstruct the value problem in terms of reliablism, on basis of which three approaches to solve the value problem are clearly given. The first approach is reliablism, which is defended by Alvin Goldman and Erik Olsson. The second approach is Linda Zagzebski’s virtue epistemology. The third approach is about theory of value. These three approaches indicate three respects that value problem focuses on:belief, knower, value. No satisfactory resolution can be agreed on among them, however, I still insist that the approach concerning value is more attractive in the long run. In the end, I broaden the horizon of value problem in connecting value problem with knowing-how.
