The Phonetic Study Of Linzhang Dialect

Linzhang county is located in the southernmost of Hebei province, belonging to the cizhang part of Jin dialect rigion.The special geographic location makes Linzhang dialect not only get a small slice of the typical features of Jin dialect but also have the nature of transitional dialect, mainly manifested in: Linzhang dialect’s internal development is not balanced,and is being in the midst of a complicated changing. In this paper, based on "the dialect investigate word form", the pronunciation of Linzhang dialect has been carried on the comprehensive investigation and analysis,in order to provide more rich pronunciation materials for the research of Jin dialect in Hebei province.The whole text is divided into four chapters:The first chapter is the introduction part.This part introduces Linzhang county’s geography and history first, then profiles Linzhang dialect’s situation and its phonetic review of the research literature, and then sums up the research theory and methods of this article. Finally the chapter introduces the sources of materials.Chapter two is about the phonetics of Linzhang dialect.It mainly detailes a description of Linzhang dialect phonetic system and its characteristics, based on describing the initials, the finals, the tone of pronunciation systems and their matching rules.Then on the basis of the dialect’s sound system description, we summarize Linzhang dialect’s phonetic features and the internal differences from two aspects of geographic and talk groups.At last,the discriptions of“儿化音”“子尾”,the ancient ZhiZhuangZhang groups of initials, and the perspective of the legacy of ancient RuSheng characters pronunciation further prove the phonetic differences exist.The third chapter is about the initial project,aimed at the description and interpretation of middle initials ZhiZhuangZhang groups in Linzhang dialect’s pronunciation.First,the article outlines three types of pronunciation of ZhiZhuangZhang groups of initials in LinZhang dialect.The northern (Chengguan) district’s binary type—ts group (ts/tsh/s) and ts group (ts/tsh/s).The southeast district’s merge type—ts group (ts/tsh/s),and another merge type—southwest’s ts group (ts/tsh/s).In the south of Linzhang county,several villages and towns have "ts" and "tf " two types without rules. Then the article compares ZhiZhuangZhang three sets of initials and Jing set of the words’s pronunciation,The surrounding dialects of comparative analysis put Linzhang dialect in a big language environment to analyze its evolution characteristics and the influence factors. Finally,the auther makes a summary to this chapter.The fourth chapter of this article is a project namely the medieval RuSheng characters of Linzhang dialect’s pronunciation study.It includes ancient RuSheng characters’pronunciation situation of Linzhang dialect and the types and causes of RuSheng ShuHua.The analysis of two reading methods of Shu and Ru, the ancient RuSheng characters’s pronunciation differences among the elderly, the middle-aged and the youth three generations and the differences from the peripheral dialect’s pronunciation reveals the fact that Linzhang dialect has been affected by external languages.With the objective description of dialect phonetic facts, the article also combines the related theory to analyze the typical problems involved in Linzhang dialect.For example, the analysis of Linzhang dialect’s pronounciation uses the theory of lexical diffusion, the overlapped sound change theory and so on.All in all, this article is based on the dialect’s phonetic fact description, pays attention to its in-depth excavation hidden behind the phonetic phenomena and laws, and strives to do comprehensive records to describe and interprete the phonetic features of Linzhang dialect profoundly.
