This paper discussed the view of the Rule of Nature to explore the original meanings of Nature in Spring and Autumn Period, which is one of the highest meanings in the ancient Chinese Philosophy,to find the evolutionary history and the impacts on the future generations. By analyzing the different meanings of Nature and the Rule of Nature at different periods, we can gain the insight into the significance and influence of Nature in Spring and Autumn Period.The paper is divided into four parts:the first part, I introduced the purpose of the paper, the research status all over the world and the way I study. In the second part, Istarted with the research of Oracle to analyze the basic meaning of Nature at different periods. Then I explored the meaning, trait, history and significance of Naturefrom the ancient times to Spring and Autumn Period. Compared with the Supreme and the spirit of ancestors, the meaning of Nature could beunderstood deeply. The third part is the most important part of the whole paper, which is used to study the meanings of Nature in Spring and Autumn. Isummarized the meanings of nature as three types:the natural Nature, the divine Nature and the moral Nature. The natural Nature can be divided into two meanings:the moving way of the sky and stars,which is the narrow sense of the rule of Nature; the basic meaning of nature which is the fertile of Six Gas and all the things in the world. Spring and Autumndescribes an universal illustration which is one of many universal illustrations in ancient China. Analyzed the phrases of Nature Assists, Nature Ruins and Nature Gives in Spring and Autumn, I showed the meaning of the divine Nature in specific environments. The divine Nature inherits the concept of the spirit of ancestors. That means, the Nature can reward and punish human by the nature of human and the facts. The divine Nature has the motivation and will.Next, Iexplored the highest form of Nature---the moral Nature through the motto heaven has no favorites, but the virtue. Because of Virtue, the relationship between Nature and Human is not the relationship of order and obedience. Nature, Human and Virtue, these three factors establisha complete, rational and stable system of theory, explanation and faith. Virtue as the bridge of Nature and Human, it is of great importance in the history of the relationship between Nature and Human in ancient China, even in the whole history of Chinese Philosophy.Finally, Iexplored the instructive and research value of the Rule of Nature in Spring and Autumn in the later periods, especially through the influences of Confucius, XunZi and Dong Zhongshu.To sum up, we can find that the value and impacts of Human played a more and more important role. The supreme dominance of Nature was superficial gradually. The Nature was appeared as a being with universal laws and rules.Considered Spring and Autumn as an opportunity, I study the view of the Rule of Nature to show the philosophy at that time and analyze the different meanings, history and significance of Nature in the book. The paper is expected to contribute to the study of the view of the Rule of Nature comprehensive and systematic in pre-Qin period.
