Objective: To evaluate the intervention effect of suicide survivors after the lovedone committed suicide. And provide a scientific evidence of intervention strategies andmeasures for the rural China suicide survivors.Method: Randomly selecting eight villages from the town of Dalian city as samplesite. Collecting all of suicide accident and disease deceased5years between1st October2006and1st October2011, and choosing1-3relatives (parents, spouses, children,siblings) of the deceased as research object. Using Attitude Questionnaire (QSA), BeckScale for suicide ideation-Chinese version (BSI-CV), Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD), Grief Experience Questionnaire (GEQ), Family Assessment Device (FAD)and Social Demography Questionnaire as research tools for254suicide survivors. Thento implement the crisis intervention for suicide survivors of GEQ total score more than140points.And evaluate the effects of intervention.Result:(1) After the intervention, there are significant difference among the F1factor (t=-10.296,p<0.001), F2factor (t=-14.944,p<0.001), F3factor (t=7.962,p<0.001)and F4factor (t=-5.164,p<0.001) of QSA.(2) The rate of suicidal ideation of GEQ totalscore (χ2=35.80,p<0.001) higher than140points of33suicide survivors is significanthigher than lower ones. After the intervention, total score and each factor score ofBSI-CV scale are lower than before intervention, and there are significant differenceamong the total score (t=38.749, p<0.001), factor score of suicidal ideation (t=28.489,p<0.001), suicide risk (t=43.249, p<0.001).(3) After the intervention, the total score ofHAMD scale is significant lower than before intervention, and there is significant difference between the total score (t=5.813, p<0.001).(4) After the intervention, thetotal score and each score of GEQ are significant lower than before intervention, andthere are significant among the total score (t=13.153, p<0.001), factors score of generalgrief reactions (t=4.307, p<0.001), shame (t=16.124, p<0.001), unique reactions(t=4.041, p<0.001), responsibility (t=8.824, p<0.001), search for explanation (t=6.076,p<0.001), rejection (t=6.544, p<0.001), guilt (t=5.359, p<0.001), physical reactions(t=6.558, p<0.001), and self-destructive (t=5.855, p<0.001), stigmatization (t=3.765,p<0.001), loss of social support (t=3.711, p<0.01).(5) After the intervention, the totalscore and each score of FAD are significant lower than before intervention, expectfamily role (t=0.978, p>0.05), and there are significant among the problem solving(t=8.123, p<0.001), communication (t=9.930, p<0.001), affective response (t=5.204,p<0.001), affective involvement (t=7.755, p<0.001), behavior control (t=4.989,p<0.001), general functioning (t=14.489, p<0.001).Conclusion: There is evidence of benefit from grief gounseling and familyintervention for suicidal ideation, suicide attitude, depression, grief experience andfamily functioning of suicide survivor of rural China.
