Tragedy Category Of Chinese Acceptance

In the face of the development of China aesthetics in recent years, more andmore scholars have realized the influence and effect of West aesthetics theory. Westaesthetics has laid solid foundation at the beginnings of its development. While forChina-the bright younger generation-should understand and grasp West aestheticstheory firstly, integrate China and West theory, and then start on its aesthetics theoryresearch.Tragedy, as one of the important aesthetics category, has appeared as early as OldGreek period, until20th century, the word “Tragedy” has been introduced to China. Ifwe want to summarize and explain the introduction and development process of Chinatragedy category, we shouldn’t ignore the understanding and investigation of Westtragedy category.In order to provide theory support for the development of modern tragedy theoryand the art of tragedy, this paper plan to summarize hundred years tragedy categoryintroduction and development, establishment and spread in chronological order sincethe20th century, highlight the tortuosity and complexity of China tragedy categorydevelopment.
