However, there are fewEnglish materials about the implicit culture of Shandong’s geography and history, let alonetranslation studies on it. This report attempts to apply Skopos theory into translation aboutShandong’s geography and history. On one hand, the report tries to make target readers have abetter understanding of Shandong culture; on the other hand, the writer hopes the report can offersome supplement for tourism translation by some examples and translation strategies.Based on translation theories, this report provides an explicit description about the featuresof Shandong tourism translation, the current status of translation about Shandong’s geographyand history, the background of the task, its process and case analysis.
